Florida

Hello everyone. Well JJ and I left for Florida this past Thursday. We flew out early Thursday morning on Continental Airlines. After a brief layover in Houston, we caught our second flight and headed to the Orlando International Airport. The trip there was good, not too much action on the plane.

Once we arrived in Orlando, JJ's mom and dad [also known as the "Rents] picked us up. JJ was especially excited to see his mom and dad because they had brought his nephew Cody with them. After they picked us up, we went and ate at a Restaurant called Dixie Crossroads. Here are some of the pictures from the restaurant.












After eating some good seafood, we headed to the Condo in New Smyrna Beach. Here are some pictures of the beach.











JJ and I would get up every morning and walk along the beach. We would also do it during the evening hours. While out on the beach, we search for seashells, to put in the aquarium. I think that there is something really romantic about walking along the beach with your husband. One day while searching for seashells, JJ had a standoff with a crab. It was pretty humorous and I was upset with myself for not taking the camera out that evening.

On Saturday, we celebrated Cody's birthday party at the Condo. Cody and his friends got to swim in the swimming pool. He tried to get his Uncle JJ in the pool, but JJ was not having any of that.

We flew back home on Sunday evening. JJ and I experienced three firsts on this day. Once again, we flew on Continental airlines. First, we sat in the exit row, thus being the very first row in the plane. First class was in the very front, but since this was a larger plane. we sat in the Exit isle, giving us lots of leg room. While on the plane, there was a medical emergency, so once we landed in Houston, the paramedics loaded the plane. We were able to exit the plane shortly after the paramedics arrived so we don't really know exactly what the medical emergency was. While in Houston, we sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks and talked to a couple of guys from Seatlle. As we flew into Oklahoma City, once we landed, we had to set on the tarmac for several minutes, because since it was so late, there were no air traffic controllers to guide us in. Finally after we unloaded, we were picked up by my dad, thanks dad. We finally got home around 11:30pm. JJ and I both agreed that there is no place like home!!
